Description
The .44 Magnum Hildbrandt tattoo machine are among one of our original designs. This machine went into production in 2006 and has remained largely unchanged in terms of the frame design. This is a compact frame that has the same geometry as all our liners. Built like a compact cheetah with speed in mind making it an ideal liner or color packer. It comes pre-tuned in a general setup for lining. The .44 Magnum packs a quick punch with its short springs and 10 wrap coils. If you are looking for an even faster liner, consider the .357 Magnum or .30 Carbine. The weight of the machine is 230 grams/8 ounces. Material of the frame is low carbon steel that is coated with a chrome finish. Size is 3.5 x 3.5”. 10 wrap coils, 32.5mm height, 22uf capacitor, 50WV. Product code is 2SW.
infoBrilliant Liner Tattoo Machine
The .44 Magnum is a brilliant liner tattoo machine. Even though the design has not changed much over the years, it has always proven to be a reliable and well balanced piece for lining. All standard size needles and tubes will fit Hildbrandts.
Counterfeit Hildbrandts Tattoo Machines
Beware of counterfeit Hildbrandt guns that bear the Hildbrandt name or logo. Counterfeit units tend to have thinner frames that are poorly crafted. All authentic Hildbrandts will bear the model name on the base of the frame and come with a certificate with a codified production series. If you think you may have purchased a counterfeit Hildbrandt, email our support staff and we will be able to verify if it is.

I have been a tattooist for almost 35 years. I own and use some very nice machines. I just purchased a .44 magnum and used it today. Now pay attention. This machine certainly cannot compare with top dollar machines–BUT THIS IS A VERY NICE MACHINE FOR IT’S PRICE! It really is. If you are budget minded, if you are just starting out, Hildbrandt makes nice machines, reasonably priced! Thumbs up from me, Okay? Buy directly from Hildbrandt. They sell on ebay too, but there are a lot of fake machines on ebay (including fake Hildbrandts), and Hildbrandt will charge you more for their machines if you buy them on ebay plus about eight bucks for shipping, But directly from them. Their machines are all $49 plus very reasonable shipping. Just telling the truth here as I see it. Hildbrandt machines are not super deluxe anything, but they are solid, nicely build machines–worth the money. They are located in Canada and Washington State. Their machines have a six month warranty. Even if you are super poor right now, don’t spend $10-15 on ebay to buy a piece of crap…you can save up $49 plus tax and buy a nice machine of good quality from Hildbrandt. Mickey Sharpz the are not–but NICE machines they are! …just sayin. My new .44 mag liner did just fine today. It couldn’t have done it without me (LOL!) but it is a nice machine and I recommend it.

How well is the .44 for color packing. Its set up for lining, can your company set it up for color packin?
newton –
It can be setup for color packing, would need to switch out the back spring to a longer one. We could do it, but you would have to buy an additional long back spring and email us to let us know you want us to put it on for you.

i have purchased a few items from this online store and i have not regret doing so, the staff are professional and diligent and follow up on your instructions to a T.
The customer service representatives very friendly and service orientated always ready to assist.
i reside in Fiji and have had bad dealings with other online store in the sense that the items weren’t really taken care of when shipped over the care taken when shipping my items is of the best standard and i am a very happy customer who looks forward to doing more business with this store.
To the staff at tattoomachineequipoment.com thank you very much and keep up the good work

A good liner I love my Hildbrandt machines they run smooth and hit hard I think they take a bit much voltage to run loaded perhaps it is just the longer throw I like on my liner set up takes about 8.5 volts tried getting it lower but cant bogs too easily as long as I get the same performance eg. speed hit etc I dont care about the voltage it still runs cool.

Hello Angie,
Thank you for your inquiry. I do apologize but there is no machine that is completely silent. But rotary machines are much quieter than coil machines, and we do have quite a few rotary machines for sale:

Now, please do note that it will not be completely silent, but it is much quieter if that helps.
Thank you
Nancy

Hello,
I ordered a Hildbrandt Magnum .44 last week and I’m experiencing some issues while tuning the machine. I set the voltage to 8.8 and although I’m tuning the contact screw very carefully, I can’t get it to run smoothly. I’m getting uneven vibrations and sometimes the machine stops altogether while I’m tattooing. I played around with it for a long time, changing the voltage too, and nothing seems to make it better. The vibrations also change when I move the machine around, even just slightly.
Is it normal that the tuning is so unstable and extremely sensitive? Or am I missing something?
I just can’t tattoo in this condition as the vibrations are too unreliable.
Any help with this would be appreciated.
newton –
Hello Maureen, that you mentioned the vibrations change when you move around the machine suggests that it is either your clip cord not making a good connection to the machine or the clip cord is faulty (there are segments in the copper wiring that are thinning or breaking).
The 3rd possibility is there is too much back spring tension, this is a common occurence with the Hildbrandt liners because of the compact design of the frame, we shave off a bit of an angle at the rear spring deck, if you look at the machine from the side, you will see that it is angled from high to lower ending at the very rear of the spring deck. So, this gives a built in tension for the spring without requiring much bending of the back spring at all, nowadays we put the slightest of bends on an otherwise nearly straight back spring.

Love this liner. Was using a tattoo kit machine before and it was all over the place. Got this liner, tuned it to my preferences, and have never looked back since. Runs like a dream. Will be ordering again.
